Semi-sweet Frizzante is pleasantly drinkable, refreshing and, thanks to its fine sparkling, it seems light and fresh. It is suitable for summer gatherings, celebrations, parties, as an aperitif and with selected meals and desserts. Krist Winery offers a selection of wines from Moravia and selected wine-growing regions of the European Union. You can find our Frizzante from the popular varieties Pálava, Hibernal, Pinot Gris and Müller Thurgau.

What is semi-sweet Frizzante?

Frizzante is a sparkling wine with fine bubbles. Compared to classic sparkling wine, it usually has finer sparkling and lower pressure. The designation semi-sweet means that the wine contains a higher amount of residual sugar than semi-dry wine. The sweetness is therefore more noticeable in the wine, but it is still not the highest degree of sweetness. Thanks to the combination of sweetness, acidity and fine effervescence, a semi-sweet Frizzante can seem very fresh and balanced.

How does a semi-sweet sparkling wine taste?

A semi-sweet Frizzante tends to be distinctly fruity and aromatic. The subtle sweetness highlights the fruity character of the wine and the bubbles give it freshness.

Depending on the variety used, you can find notes of:

strawberries
raspberries
peach
pears
citrus
tropical fruits
cherries
flowers
It is precisely the pronounced fruitiness that makes a semi-sweet Frizzante a wine that is very accessible and easy to drink.

Pálava Frizzante is ideal for lovers of strongly aromatic wines. Pálava can offer intense floral, fruity and spicy notes. Combined with a fine effervescence and a pleasant sweetness, it creates an attractive and refreshing wine.

Hibernal Frizzante stands out with its distinct aroma and freshness. Fruity and citrus notes are complemented by pleasant acidity and fine bubbles. The semi-sweet character gives the wine roundness and highlights its fruitiness.

Pinot Gris Frizzante is a more elegant variant of sparkling wine. The variety offers pleasant fruitiness and a fuller character, which is pleasantly lightened by the fine effervescence. The semi-sweet style then gives the wine a softer and rounder taste.

Müller Thurgau Frizzante is a light, fresh and aromatic sparkling wine. Its pleasant fruitiness combined with a fine sweetness and effervescence creates a very easy-to-drink style of wine, which is especially suitable for informal gatherings and summer moments.

How to serve semi-sweet Frizzante?

We recommend serving semi-sweet sparkling wine well chilled, at approximately 6–8 °C. Thanks to the low temperature, the freshness of the wine stands out and the sweetness does not seem too pronounced. Sparkling or sparkling wine glasses are suitable for serving, which help preserve the fine bubbles and allow the aromas to stand out. Semi-sweet Frizzante from the Pálava, Hibernal, Pinot Gris and Müller Thurgau varieties are intended for all those looking for a fruity, fresh and pleasantly sweet sparkling wine.
