There are only about 18 hectares of Alibernet in Moravia, so I am glad we have it. It was bred in 1950 in the former Soviet Union, in Odesa, by crossing Alicante Henri Bouschet and Cabernet Sauvignon. Like Neronet, Alibernet was last produced in 2011. In my opinion, it is a wine suitable for long-term ageing thanks to its tannins and high extract.
